Apollo 11 stood as the pinnacle of scientific, exploratory and technological prowess, one of mankind’s greatest achievements of the 20th century. Although the exploration of the moon is now a distant memory, the fact remain amazing. By pushing the technology of the time to its limits, America landed a man on the moon on July 20th 1969, winning the cold war space race with Russia.
